Feelings Start to Fade
A whisper drifts where thunder roared,
Soft echoes where our hearts once soared.
The light that danced behind your eyes
Now flickers low, then slowly dies.
*
Warmth once bloomed in every glance,
Now silence leads the final dance.
The words we spoke, both bright and deep,
Now gather dust in corners steep.
*
I trace the ghost of who we wereโ
A faded line, a distant blur.
No anger left, no tears to trade,
Just quiet where the fire once played.
*
Time wears the edges smooth and slow,
Where passion sparked, now embers glow.
No sudden storm, no sharp cascadeโ
Just gentle grief as
feelings start to fade.

This is a wonderful way you have written about climate and how it feels to human thoughts. Interesting poem.

Oh gosh. I thought this was stunning. I think youโre rightโฆ when feelings fade, itโs always with a whimper. This was so eloquent. Stunning.
