In Winter's Grasp** by George’s Girl
In the chill of winter's breath,
Sniffles dance and coughs befall,
A tale unfolds of bugs unseen,
Of colds and flus that intervene.
With temperatures that rise and fall,
We bundle up, we heed the call.
A warm cup of tea, a soothing balm,
In the chaos, we seek the calm.
Antibiotics, oh those little pills,
In our fight against the chills,
A friendly nudge from doctors wise,
To help us battle, to help us rise.
Yet superbugs lurk all about,
A reminder not to twist in doubt.
For health is precious; take your time,
Recovery’s journey is not a crime.
So here’s to rest, to warmth, to care,
To moments shared, to love we bear.
Through coughs and colds, we’ll find our way,
In friendship’s light, we’ll greet the day.
With laughter bright and spirits high,
We’ll conquer illness, you and I.
For even on the darkest day or night,
we’ll emerge from illness and be alright

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
