You know what’s crazy
Fear is something that we created
It’s our imagination that creates a lot of complications
But it also our protection
We project our fears onto others
Especially mothers and fathers to their sons and daughters
This projection can turn into a horrible weapon
A dream killer it has become for some
The devil is where fear came from
Thy shall not fear, so that all hope won’t disappear
You have to take a risk to get the things you wish
Fear is Failure entangled around reality
I have no idea what that means, but it just came to me
Okay now let me finish this poem, because that line was just way too strong, just got my mind all wrong
_
Sorry y'all that shocked me, lol I threw myself off.

Wow, this is powerful! Emily You captured fear in such a real way, especially how it affects dreams and families. And that line about fear being failure tangled in reality—so deep! Thanks for sharing this journey of words! 😊
I love this line, "Fear is Failure entangled around reality." Powerful poem.
I love it
cant go a day without reading your story 👌
Fear is the mindkiller
I have a lot of irrational fears. Love the honest ending to this one.
The subtitle "My Brain is Too" Haha, love it!
That line is indeed very strong. But fear is also a natural brain response to something unknown and threatening.
Failure entangled around reality, I really loved that!
That was deep and empowering! Snaps all around! BRAVO!
Great poem
That line towards the end worked too well, I am glad you included it in. This was very powerful Emily. I love that after you included that line, you were still rhyming even though it was through your attempt to end it. Absolutely amazing, your talent shines through here.
Very insightful poem! I’ve sometimes thought that if I could wave a magic wand and eliminate one thing from the human psyche it would probably be fear. I think fear is the source of so many evils: greed, violence, dishonesty, and all the isms are grown in fear. “Be not afraid” is just great advice for a peaceful and good life. Still, I actually enjoy the superficiality of being afraid of like a horror movie or a horror story. But that’s not real fear because it doesn’t compel any real world actions. That’s more scared or spooked out than actually afraid I think.
