Cause I've Been So Wrong

Tell me what you really want and please make it simple

---------- ---------- ----------

I've explained it in all perspectives, try to remember

Take a deep breath, be still and think of September

---------- ---------- ----------

I'm trying but I can't stop burning like ember

---------- ---------- ----------

Then think about my promise and look for my remedies

Remember, the higher you go the more you have enemies

---------- ---------- ----------

Yeah, I know, I can see, I'm not stupid even with my penalties

---------- ---------- ----------

No one said you were, please, just calm down

When you think like this, you drop your crown

---------- ---------- ----------

What makes you think I want to wear that special gown

---------- ---------- ----------

Who said it's your choice, you're here, so rise up

I know it's hard, you're grown now, but no longer a pup

---------- ---------- ----------

Yeah I know, I've been down, I tried my best so shut up

---------- ---------- ----------

Don't talk like that, there's so much more to understand

You don't even know how much I have planned

---------- ---------- ----------

I don't care, I'm ready to leave, so scatter me like sand

---------- ---------- ----------

Who have you lived for, who are you dying in honor of?

Know that when you strive here, you're being watched by the dove

---------- ---------- ----------

So what, what's the point of it anyway, temporary love?

---------- ---------- ----------

The point is to be in the valley, the hill, to know you're royalty

Everyone will go through the trials but not everyone shows loyalty

---------- ---------- ----------

And I have? I'm worthless and incapable, what do you see in me?

---------- ---------- ----------

My son you are lost and confused but you've shown grace

You have never treated my people like some alien race

---------- ---------- ----------

Oh, so only you're people matter? Is that the case?

---------- ---------- ----------

My people are all people, every skin, mind and soul

So be righteous, rise up with them, together we skoal

---------- ---------- ----------

A toast? For what? Everyone you control?

---------- ---------- ----------

We toast to your struggle here and your destiny to be

For my kingdom rises and so will you, that I decree

---------- ---------- ----------

So be it father, cause I've been so low for so long

---------- ---------- ----------

I have forgiven you my son, I even write it in my song

For my music has power, no longer have you done wrong
