The Fates
they say if it is meant to be, then it will be!
akin to fate, meeting on that summer day
and see ourselves reflected in the other—those three sisters,
deities hard at work, cosmically fierce, melded our reality—
how else could we have gotten so far?
fated love, how brightly our shine glows!
the thread of fate Clotho spun,
Atropos and Lachesis beside her,
glimmers upon the precipice—
hearts and souls
forever bound
inseparably

Apologies for taking so long to get to this Angela! My goodness ... this is just so incredible! The Fates are such fascinating characters and you wove them into this poem so so well! Loved it! Thank you for entering! (I will need to double check, but I think maybe line two is over on the syllable count? - I'm 'scoring' as if it's not and will check it later - still an exceptional poem!
Lovely work! BRAVO!
I like the underlying love story that is presented beneath the acts of Fate.
This was soooo beautifully penned! I loved it!
Interesting!!
This feels wound up in myth. Very good.
