Another year comes to an end,
another session comes to an end,
another friendship comes to an end,
Another chapter concludes as well.
For some, it's a joyful ending,
an escape from the misery this session became,
For many, it's a sad goodbye,
Parting ways with friends, causing pain.
People drift away, breaking,
But a new chapter has come to begin,
To start new and leave sorrows behind,
To let happiness be what you find.

A Love Forboding
The chipped stone slope caused unbearable footing. I slid, skirting on my heels. I cast my shield, relinquishing my guard to stay upright. Left with my double-edge and a prayer to the maker, I skated toward my objective. The earthly stubble gave way to solid ground. I found myself restored, a trail of dust in my wake.
