Life is at a standstill
I escape in my head
I live in a fantasy
Where nothing is dead
Reality is boring
Or too much to handle
Daydreams are more exciting
Light my adventure with an old candle
Perhaps, I should get out of my brain
Be a real human
But the person I want to be
Is a much braver woman
Daydreams inspire me
Fantasies create my stories
Untold stories locked away
For only my eyes to see
Should I wake up
Start living in the real world
Or is it okay to dream
Like the artists of old
They were fairies and dragons
Warriors and heroes
I want to be like them
Basking in the glow
Perhaps, someday
My dreams will come true
Fly as high as a unicorn
To the peaceful sky, always so blue
