It's almost the end of the line and decisions pour through my mind...
What will happen when I'm gone? Who will be left to handle this mess?
Who is prepared and who has the aptitude? Who can withstand?
Who will keep it in the family? It's not much, but it's ours and has been
for a very long time. Land and history should be honored. Who?
Who would respect that? Who would appreciate it? Been faithful?
Who can do the land and the homes on it the most good?
Who will love their bonds and do one another right by blood?
Who would sell and who would fight to keep?
Who has the stewardship to keep the land safe from the government?
The answers aren't clear cut because none possess all these requirements.
And the question is if they could see working together out of respect for
the ancestors that left it in their care to make a whole.
It is a heavy responsibility.
Who is up to it? Lord, give to me the clarity, I pray.
