Oh so familiar.

Born from the shadows and dark

Enslaved to his master's heart

He'll consume you whole

And swallow Your soul

His bite is worse than his bark

By Niranjan _ Photographs on Unsplash

His howl's the sound of Your doom

Born from the blackest of wombs

When death grabbed ahold

His master just told,

"He's mine. My soul is his tomb."

By Marek Piwnicki on Unsplash

You won't see the light of day

When You become this hound's prey

Best take death in stride

It's no good to hide

It won't save You if You pray

By Timothy Eberly on Unsplash

Nowhere to hide. Nowhere's safe.

Nowhere to run. So don't race.

No, holy water

Won't stop Your slaughter

It's best for You to save face.

By Joel Drzycimski on Unsplash

Do Your best to die with grace

He draws near, he hastens pace

When You've been beaten

Murdered and Eaten

He won't leave a speck or trace

By Stefano Pollio on Unsplash

This hound's never known to quit

A force that You can't outwit

He smells all Your fears

And laps up Your tears

You'll be nothing but dog shit

By Alexandre Debiève on Unsplash

For him no walls are too high

And no ocean is too wide

No cavern too deep

It's okay to weep

None before You have survived

By Sacre Bleu on Unsplash

You can't outrun the black hound

Eventually You'll be found

Knowing You'll be killed

By the Baskerville

It's sad that You'll be wolfed down

By Marek Szturc on Unsplash

Sadly You've gone and done it

This misfortune, You've won it

Your death gets much worse

Eternity's curse

Still alive in his stomach

You were right! This tingles the spine as well. Just in time for Halloween 👻. I loved the line, "Do Your best to die with grace." So wrong and so right at the same time. Well done!!!

That was fantastically creepy and awesome!! Needs read in a deep voice with a piercing howl at the end. I better not dream about scary eyes in the dark coming for me, lol!!
