Falling Leaves
Autumn Cradles What Remains
The Earth cradles what life and time let go.
ππππππππππππππππππππππ
Crimson leaf driftingβ
Silence floats across the air,
autumn's last leaf falls.
ππππππππππππππππππππππ
Branches sway in trees,
Whispers heard through falling boughs
Redness turns bright white.
ππππππππππππππππππππππ
Amber trails vanish,
Sinking into frosted earth,
Roots cradle souls gone.

This was very descriptive.
Well-wrought, with an especial nod to the idea of the crumbling leaf as a dissipating soul.
Vivid, moving work - that last one in particular really spoke to me. Genuinely beautiful poetry, Michelle!
Beautifully captures the quiet shift from autumnβs colours to winterβs embrace.
Three lovely haiku, and lI ove the image
Absolutely beautiful a gentle farewell from autumn to winter.
