
I finally decided to open my eyes
The light was blinding, but I didn't let it steer me off course.
I sat in it for a while.
I allowed the quiet and the brightness bathe over me like an ocean wave.
I let it pool around me like a puddle.
I remained captured in its glow.
Upon opening my eyes I made a revelation.
One that isn’t very easy to forget.
My shadow side wants me to be in the dark about it.
Stay in the comfort of the unknown.
As much as I would like to, I can’t
Being in the light while uncomfortable, is necessary for my survival.
The key to the depths.
Here I can not even hold my own hand.
The static from the air won’t allow me an ounce of peace.
I am as they say, unfinished
