Eyes

part of me needs you, part me fears you

By Alyx LennonPublished 4 years ago 1 min read
I made this song with my twin as our duo group Hel, its titled Eyes

Look at their eyes, still alive.

Look at their eyes, feel their life

What have you been through?

What sharp claws you have. and all those bruises, you were built to last

Are your lips sewed shut? Or do you say too much?

Do they believe you? Can you afford to?

This cycle of being is too much for me

You mean to tell me, I can actually do something?

What haven’t you been through?

And there’s more to crash

And there’s no way to prepare you with a mind that's built to last

Like trying to seduce someone in a silent film

The most meaningful words fall short on deaf ears

But look at their eyes still alive, look at their eyes feel their life
