She gets overwhelmed with her emotions
And wants to keep to herself
But still be a family person
She’s an introvert, used to be very shy girl
With an extroverted job to pay her bills
Now she is drained on her off days
Don’t feel like being a social butterfly to her family and friends on the weekends
Maybe a few people here and their
But gatherings will give her headaches
She needs quietness
To recharge her mind
Her emotions
She don’t want to smile all the time
A hug is not in her
Not even a smirk
Nor an hi
Don’t take it personal
Its just not in her
She depleted herself of it all
But yet she will still push through to be there for her family
With a fake fatigued smile
And answers all there questions with fake enthusiasm
She is not being selfish nor self-centered
Don’t consider her anti-social
Or a people hater
She just protecting the little energy she does have
Just enough to get out of bed and take care of herself
Because in a few days she know she will have to put on a mask again
And act like an extrovert
An happy extrovert full of energy

You expressed beautifully what it means to struggle in a world where most jobs are for extroverts. How that affects family time and how we as introverts can be mistaken for, either being selfish or anti social. I wish we had a choice in this world, and that society would be accommodating to us. Only give what you can L.I.E. life is hard enough as it is. But this was a heartbreaking cry for understanding. Very relatable and perfectly presented 🤗❤️
