Existential

seeking a life path in 2022

It's tricky to know:

Am I stuck, unwilling to grow?

Am I making excuses to stay where I am?

Avoiding next steps, avoiding plans?

But every time I consider my path,

I'm just too terrified to ask-

what will the future ever hold?

And what of this earth, as I grow old?

Why make goals or follow dreams,

when everything is falling apart at the seams.

Every day, it's getting hotter.

All I know, is that I'm Mother Earth's daughter.

Am I meant to do more, sparkle and shine?

Impossible, as we run out of time.

This life feels no longer about me,

but that leaves me stuck, drifting at sea.

Bobbing along, paralyzed by doom.

Oh Gaia, Pachamama, guide me please,

I'm here thanks to you, here for the trees.
