Excellent Form

What is your take on art throughout history?

The Goddess of Justice

The sculpture should remain nude.

Human bodies in art ought to possess excellent form.

They should be appreciated once viewed.

Romanticism should be the norm.

Everyday portraits without light or grace,

Populate museums the world over.

It is only in the painted beautiful face

That one stands and retires from being a rover.

To lay at the feet of a great sculpture for hours

Or to gaze upon a wondrous portrait,

Is like bringing a lover a dozen flowers

And hope that those florets they never forfeit.

Ideas expressed through visual art,

Ought to be held in high esteem.

It’s where man traces his start

As he made sketches from a dream.

Art goes back as far as man.

Visit museums in cities around the world if you can.
