Ex's and Oh's

A Poem

By Angel AdagioPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I don't know where you are in the maze of my mind,

maybe still rotting away at the thoughts of me,

knowing how good I was to you, but you simply chose to be blind.

Tarnish my name with your words for those who want to listen,

but we all know the first to tell the story is the one who has the most to hide.

I am grateful that you were my lesson and reminder

that I shall not stoop to a level beneath my own

and I shall find someone who is worthy of my heart and all its scars.

Very good job! A poem with deep reflection and sharp spirit. It provides a note of oversight on problems and deep knowledge of the inner self. At the same time, optimism and love for life are pervasive.
