Evicted

Struggling

In a world full of hate and discouragement

I see, poverty, economic crisis, rushing through the minds of Americans

Drowning in pain, as the anguish rushes through her mind

She thinks, “Where, where can I go to find ends meet?”

“Where can I take my children to feel free?”, “Can I be the mother to these children, give them what they need?”

As she walked away, I can see the tears running through her cheek,

A cheek that has been beaten blue and black, an abusive relationship she survived

But no one see’s that, no one notices that she survived one threatening relationship, but not the crisis that he put her through

He washed her pain away with what she thought was love, as he seeks pleasure in her

He was tired, tired of dealing with ranting children, children he detested

Not understanding why, he had to bring money to a home he wasn’t happy in, not realizing that he had the power of income, he left them

Helpless,

In need of love, a home, an income,

Not knowing what to do any longer, she looked for solutions,

Solutions that provided more problems, problems that were never ending

How she wished her income was never ending, maybe that way she could be a mother to these children, these children in need of love

A life, a struggle free life

A home
