Everything Changed

You know that point where nothing's the same anymore

And That Was the Moment That Everything Changed.

Once Bright and Sunny, Now Dark Clouds and Rain.

Things Would Get Better, I Had No Doubt.

And That Was the Moment the Bottom Dropped Out

Thunder and Lightning and Golf Ball Sized Hail

Leaving Destruction Wherever They Fail.

I Thought It Was Bad, Or At Least At First.

That Was the Moment That It All Got Worse.

Torrential Downpours Caused Rivers to Flood.

Into My Basement Came Water and Mud.

I’d Stand on My Roof, But That Sounds Deranged.

And That Was the Moment That Everything Changed.

All That I Had, Destroyed by the Water.

It’ll Do No Good, But I Wanted to Holler.

Nothing Was Normal, All of It Strange.

I Looked the Window, And Everything Changed.

The Sun Shining Brightly, The Sky Clear and Blue.

The Air Was So Fresh, Can’t Believe It Was True.

No Thunder, No Lightning, No Dark Clouds, No Rain

The Way It Was Before Everything Changed.
