Every Eight Years

A Poem

By Sarah WorleyPublished 8 years ago 1 min read
Written by Sarah A. W. Parish

The first eight years of my life I learned,

After eight more years I have returned.

I searched for some hope to my heart,

Although I never quit, I fell apart.

Then one day love surged through me.

I forgive the world because now I believe.

When I close my eyes your face is seen.

I woke up in a sweat and it was only a dream.

I almost touched his heart with my hand,

But my hand is dirty and I cannot stand.

When I fell, I fell right over upon my own face.

Now I wait in silence as I pace...

About the Creator

Sarah Worley

I believe in symbiosis, and that there is a singular dominant God of the universe,

Also, the love poems are dedicated to my husband, and the rest are dedicated to my family!
