Every Day
Misconceptions

There are pictures painted
On the walls of my heart
Brushstrokes I did not apply
But I live with every day
There are songs recorded
In the depth of my soul
Compositions I did not write
But I live with every day
There are poems
Scratched on the bones of my skull
Telling stories I did not create
But I live with every day.
Someone else's graffiti ... not mine
Someone else’s truth … not mine
Someone else’s reality … not mine
Someone else’s agenda … not mine
Someone else's vendetta ... not mine
That I live with every day
