An old rule says to set free what you love.
Cage it not, but give it room to grow,
as it is not for you to tame.
It may bend or bust, they say,
but mend it and let it heal.
So I do.
I let you go,
Send you out into life with only the hope that you will come back.
You go away as you came,
Like rain on a warm eve when the bugs sing but don't bite,
And I miss you, but am not sad,
For the old rule also says that you love me too if you are free but want to come back,
And ever you do.

What a lovely poem to be reading so close to Valentine's Day. Well done, Sara.

Hello there Sara. It is good to see another Fox. I have a Donna Fox that you should meet. You all can be foxes together. Great poem. Welcome home.
This line, "Like rain on a warm eve when the bugs sing but don't bite" is so beautiful that I don't even have words to compliment it properly. A beautiful debut! Welcome to Vocal! :)
