I felt like my heart had so much to say early this morning, and out came this poem. 🩵

(Ethereal)

My ethereal mind could no longer feel…

Constantly debating whether or not this pain was real.

Pain rushing into my brain like waves in the ocean;

Hoping it will be able to sense my body’s love and devotion.

I know that this may seem somber.

However, when I come to the ocean it allows my soul to wander.

Happiness doesn't feel so distant.

My thoughts are limpid.

When I am here?

There is no fear.

The peace that we wish could be everlasting.

Nothing has felt the same since your passing.

I feel so close to you when the waves rush in.

Washing away the pain and sin.

I listen to every one of the shells on the beach,

They have so much to teach.

What once felt like the furthest six feet away;

The ocean brings you back to life in a way.

I see you dancing on the water,

I reminisce on all the laughs we shared on the playground teeter-totter.

Your smile illuminates the night sky,

I used to always beg the LORD above and ask HIM why.

Why did HE have to take you?

The years were far too few.

But when I come to the ocean and look up at the sky,

I get my answer every time.

I no longer have to ask why.

You are at peace.

The thought of that heals all the pieces…

That I felt were lost…

They were just tossed.

You were always here.

I miss you so much, my dear.

Seeing you at peace and dancing in the night,

Always sparks my inner light.

When I go to the coastline;

I am with you again, and I know that everything will be just fine.

We will be together again soon.

I feel it each time I rest in my room.

You will always be with me,

I will always be with you.
