Mortality, Wont Be Our Demise

Love, ever growing

Hearts, ever yearning

Forever, just out of each others reach

But the others, I still beseech

Always meant to be

A love to span eternity

A love to strong to be put in cages

Grows stronger as the storm rages

By Samule Sun on Unsplash

Never a chore

Our love was meant for more

Meant to dance in the stars

Not silly little bars

Meant to inspire

Spirits to never tire

My trust, you have earned

Teach me all the things you have learned

I always love your insight

My shining Knight

By Nik Shuliahin on Unsplash

But I always dread when we depart

Your absence leaves a hole in my heart

But Mortality, will never be our loves demise

I see that as I stare into your eyes

Like a lover lost in a different life

Your presence never causes me strife

If I'm not meant to be yours in this life

I'll follow you into the afterlife

Though neither of use knows what that means

What comes next , still to been seen

Our love grows stronger at every parting

A story that is just starting

A love story for the ages

That I will document with these pages

Your last life, as you love to say

Let me make it a little less grey

By Annie Spratt on Unsplash

Your melody, plays sweetly in my ear

Taking away all my fear

Your voice

My number one choice

Enticing me with its tone

Your scent, my favorite cologne

Meant to soar

Never to touch the floor

We will fly through the skies

When we meet at eternity's demise

Two hearts, immortalized
