eternal heart

love in 50 words

feelings padlocked

burned out

withered like a leaf

after last fall

turned into ashes

eternal thorns

pricking my soul

the wounds will heal

embalmed and cleansed

carefully prepared

for the next enchanting chapters

nothing disturbs

this free flow

real and untainted

by the former fear

my heart robust and reborn

This is a powerful piece—there’s such a strong sense of transformation here. The imagery moves from pain and loss (padlocked feelings, burned out, turned into ashes) to renewal (cleansed, prepared, robust and reborn).

  • The wounds may heal, but the scars remain, harder, more leathery, making it that much more difficult for someone else to break through. (I'm talking about me, not necessarily you.)
