Silvery witch hairs mingle with the whispers of rebellion.
Crowned with years wild and wise.
Defiance in every line.
I will not go quietly, I will not go today.
Lines and furrows map paths of sunshine and smiles.
A life etched deep, refusing to fade.
Eyes wide open, illuminated by life lived.
Hands that once orchestrated grace, now knotty pine.
Joy carved through laughter, softened by love.
Aging, a privilege not afforded to many–finds me here.
I will not go quietly, I will not go today.
Where life has been lived, light still remains.
