Second Guessing

My self-esteem is like a drought, dried up and brittle, with no way to get out

Though I try and re-try many ways to kick start, I let the things people say, shoot like arrows and darts

I let them tear down my walls leaving nothing but splinters, I see what they've left, and try not to be bitter

If I left it to fate, I would dwindle to nothing, the taste of ash in my mouth left me gagging and coughing

The key is to trust in the senses god gave you, no matter where you stand, learn to enjoy the view
