My wife says that I’m immature, I should take her to court
But that takes lots of money so I kicked her out my fort
I find by being immature most cannot guess my age
Some day I’ll be more serious but I’m not at that stage
I know sometimes I’m petty and I laugh when people fart
I’ve been asked, “When will you grow up,” but I don’t know how to start
I’m often quite sarcastic, it’s a “sense of humor” quirk
So if I say “You’re awesome” try to disregard the smirk
I tell a lot of “Dad jokes,” I’ll make letters when I pee
So if people think I’m childish, well that doesn’t bother me
But everyone has two sides, we’re not always what you see
I seldom show the other side of how I choose to be
My heart goes out to those I see with Parkinson’s syndrome
I can cry when watching YouTube scenes of soldiers coming home
This may not be remarkable, but then again, it might
If I only had the power I would give the blind their sight
I’m not chasing after fortunes, I’m not out there seeking fame
The things some people covet I don’t covet them the same
You may never see my cell phone when I’m spending time with you
No, life to me is special, it’s about the things we do
