Equal Justice

by Ashli D Wells

Everyone acknowledges that inequality exists which ends

Quiet suffering of the marginalized and oppressed and frames

Understanding of the hurt caused by past wrongs and brings about new

Alliances working tirelessly to protect the sanctity of all lives, thus

Love becomes the driving force instilling a new passion and common purpose to

Join us together to fight for what is decent and right in a world

Under the influence of the evil seed of hate which has produced

Senseless acts of violence and generations of unimaginable

Torture to individuals due to the color of their skin, and left scars

Ingrained in society which will never heal unless we all learn to

Care and hold accountable all people, on the same level, and

Envelope all races with the same respect, love, compassion, and opportunities.
