Ephemeral Echoes
A Verse of Fleeting Beauty and Transient Hope
By Emily Mary RosePublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Once irradiated by partial light,
Only to be shadowed by birds in flight,
Painfully emblematic of one’s woes,
Hope is transient; too soon it goes.
And so the morning glories they bloom and they die,
Their momentary beauty blissfully passing by,
What once was spirited is now unseen,
For the omnipotent hand of God could never be evergreen.
