enough

for years on end

you call what you do

doing it in the name of love

but selfishly

you do not agree

with me

and us

we are three

it is much too much

to bear

taken for granted

I cannot stand it

any longer

it just keeps getting stronger

it isn't fair

you lived your life

I've got to live mine

it's one of a kind

with nuances to find

so now I respond

dropping a truth bomb

to disrupt your calm

these four walls I will go beyond

for your life only you care

the bottom line is

you by your actions keep us here

I have had enough

a message to you I must send

by my absence

you can comprehend

this has been years on end

goodbye

you do your own thing

being out of touc

sad poetry
