Enduring love

A poem about love remaining in the heart even when death has separated.

Cheryl E and Michael L Preston Sr.

This poem is in memory of the love of my life for 45 years-Michael Lynn Preston Sr. He is gone from the earth but remains in my heart. Not every widow dates again or remarries. For some of us like actress Betty White who was widowed 40 years before she passed away-we are strengthened by the memories of the love that was experienced and that's enough.

Enduring Love

Till the end of my time

This love for you will last

You were my soul mate

my now and my hope from the past

You may be gone from my view

Yet I will hold you near

My one and only

So true kind and dear

The love of my life

My baby my boo

No one else can ever

take away the joy of you

As long as I live

My love will only be

For the one who gave

real true love to me
