Endless

Endless. A time when I felt like I was constantly running.

By Kennith HabetsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I am scared, of the dark,

In the forest, I hear the Bark.

The endless forest, and the taller trees,

The fear is flowing on the breeze.

Loneliness, is all around,

Going through, i'm falling down.

I see the light, at my back,

It's going down, down to black,

Just like my hope, its falling back.

The nite is coming extremely quick

I have several cuts and a nick

From running through several bush,

Getting hurt but still i push.

Fear is trying to grab me,

But i push it away for the time being.

I wander through, all night long,

Feeling lost, feeling wrong.

The day feels like night, but the night is long.

The Bark is closer, it's getting near,

My heart is beating, full of Fear.

Running through, through trees

Howl goes up, strikes familiarity.

Fear is here on the breeze.

I am helpless, I am scared,

Getting closer, getting near.

Hold my breath, and hope to pray

Keeping Fear all at bay.

Hope to run, Hope to Pray,

Hope will come, just not Today.

Run again, losing Hope,

Falling down, in a Hole.

Hope is gone, Hope is lost,

Looking forward at the Cost.

Dog has fangs, Wolf has eyes,

I look up, try to fly.

When I see the face of Hell

I look up and call for Help.

Then I look to my right,

Wolf is standing, big and Bright.

When I look behind my back,

Another Wolf, but huge and Black.

I turn around and say in Fright,

“Mr Wolf, please don’t bite.”

Then the White comes to side,

Fearless look is in His eyes.

Wolf goes passed giving me,

One last chance, to be free.

I am shaking standing there,

And i'm hoping really scared.

Hell will come, and he will grin,

Knowing that i’ll dodge again.
