Skies of black and red
Wisps of flames amongst dark clouds
Blotting out the sun

Water floods the streets
Like an uninvited guest
Knocking at your door

Toxic air abounds
We breath through masks and filters
Hoping not to choke
***
Mother earth is scorched
The rocks cry out in protest
To the sins of man
