Emotions

As I walk these halls of my school,

I see all these happy lads and lasses.

Some going to their classes,

Some avoiding the masses.

I think to myself, what are these people going through?

Are their situations as bad as mine?

I know from experience that the most tortured souls sport the biggest smiles.

Some think that showing emotion is a sign of weakness, but those are lies

I believe that showing emotion is a sign of strength, because it shows humanity,

Which means that it shows that you’re not an emotionless being.

When you express emotion, you are, essentially, showing vulnerability,

And that is more respectable than pretending you’re someone different.
