This is my fifth "Emma's Word of the Day" on Vocal. Though for many years I have done a "Word of the Day" on my Facebook account, as I am a word geek. When I was 7 years old, I had the longest spelling list of any Year 2 student in my school. Still to this day, if I come across a word I don't know, I will stop reading to look up the new word to see what it means. To see if there is a way I could be using that word. Even with my very large vocabulary I still find words that are new and they make me excited. Words have power, magic and they help us understand the world we live in, thus why they hold so much sway for me.
From Pater to Malfeasance with Intrigue and Epiphany in the middle, you are sure to find a word you love.
I am presenting this here in poets in the hope that one of my words may provide you the inspiration you need. Words, after all, are what poets use to create their art, so the more words you know the better. Well, that's what I think anyway. I hope some of you agree.
I try to do my word of the day daily, but sometimes life happens, so these posts will present what I managed to do in the previous month.
I present to you my October 2021 words of the day.
(Please note I use Australian spelling as I am Australian.)
