Emerald City

What would a utopic city be like?

By Matt B.Published 3 years ago 1 min read

In the emerald city,

care for others’s a pity…

*

Men with fabulous cars

Drive through corpse piles.

They gather alone

In the stadium to go,

They go hate sports.

*

It's always unknown

Why buildings don’t fall

Shiny windows they got

Coal curtains there lie

To hide pain inside.

*

Dear Utopy of mine!

Won’t you give me a smile?

Where emerald shines

And glitter rains down.

*

Thrash cans hide out,

out in plain sight…

*

The Centre holds the city hall

And homeless there prowl

That’s why they’re proud

Of desert roundabouts

*

Come gather a pile

Of gold, if you can

In the emerald city

All fall in line

*

Don’t care the eyes tired,

cause we got the fire…

*

Brands that destroy

Happily the lands

To give us some joy

And thankful we are

For your painful advice;

A punch in the liver if might

Cure all the bad is well,

Welcome you are then

To this gold enterprise.

*

In the emerald city of lights

That lights off the shadows of night

Don’t fear the darkest of lies

Here try to escape… If you can.
