Light and free, I step onto the open road. I’m healthy, unburdened, with the whole world ahead of me the long, winding path stretches out, ready to take me wherever I wish. From now on, I ask for no luck; I am my own good fortune. I won’t complain or postpone. No more whining, no more longing for what I don’t have. I’m done with cramped rooms, tired arguments, and empty criticisms. Strong and satisfied, I walk the open road.

The earth itself is enough for me. I don’t need the stars to be any closer I’m content knowing they are where they belong, shining for those who need them. Here on this path, I still carry my old, cherished burdens the memories, the people, the stories. I carry them with me wherever I roam. It’s impossible to shake them off; they are a part of me. I am filled with them, and they are filled with me.
