Embracing Death's Mysteries

A poem about death

In shadows deep, where whispers wane,

I pen a verse of life's last refrain.

A solemn ode to fleeting breath,

A dance with darkness, the face of death.

Oh, death, you somber, timeless guide,

With a scythe in hand, you don't subside.

In every heartbeat's rhythmic fall,

You beckon us, both great and small.

From dawn's first light to twilight's end,

Inevitable, you silently descend.

You spare no soul, no matter the plea,

We all must taste your mystery.

Yet, in your grasp, a hidden grace,

A reminder to savor life's embrace.

For in the shadows that you cast,

We find the courage to make moments last.

You teach us to cherish the simplest things,

The touch of a loved one's gentle wings,

The laughter shared, the tears that flow,

The beauty of love that we come to know.

In your presence, we're compelled to find,

The purpose that's hidden deep inside.

To seize the day, to chase our dreams,

Before the final moonlit beams.

Though your visage may instill our fear,

Death, you're a reminder crystal clear,

To make each heartbeat a symphony,

To live, to love, to set hearts free.

So, as I ink these lines of rhyme,

In honor of the ticking time,

Let us not fear the final breath,

But embrace the beauty found in death.

For in the dance of life and its demise,

We unearth the truths that make us wise.

And as we traverse the great unknown,

Our legacy in echoes shall be shown.
