Embers of Joy: The Legacy of Christmas Light
An Elegy of Warmth and Whispers Across Time

In the cradle of winter, where the shadows play,
Snowflakes craft whispers that softly sway;
A symphony of laughter, both young and old,
Weave threads of memory in stories retold.
The tree, a beacon, stands regal and bright,
Draped in the glimmer of soft, silver light.
Each ornament glistens, a chapter to share,
A bridge through the ages, to moments laid bare.
In kitchens aglow with the scent of pine,
Cinnamon dances in warm, sweet design.
Hands knead the dough with a touch like a balm,
Creating small treasures, a spirit of calm.
Through frosted glass, the carolers’ cheer,
Their voices like starlight, enchanting and clear.
“Silent Night” mingles with laughter and prayer,
As love weaves a tapestry, binding us there.
Beneath green boughs where the mistletoe sways,
A fleeting embrace ignites joyous displays.
Whispers of promises hang in the air,
In the essence of love that finds us laid bare.
By the flickering fire, old legends arise,
Of courage and kindness, of dreams that don’t guise.
“Remember, dear child, the heart in your hand
Is the gift that ignites the warmth of this land.”
The glow of the candles, the shimmer of grace,
Kindle our souls in this sacred space.
For Christmas transcends the trappings of gold;
It’s the comfort of hearts, tender, yet bold.
So as we gather where memories flow,
Let compassion blossom, let gratitude grow.
For the essence of seasons, simple yet dear,
Is a love that endures, forever near.
