He is giving me elevator eyes

from across the room

like I am the 13th floor

he presses all my buttons

I feel the floor move under me

The closer he gets to me

The sexual tension has me

at the end of my rope

His flirtatious smile,

has my heart suspended in mid-air

my defenses strong as steel cables

My anxious thought, get overcrowded

But next to you, I feel as though

I’ll free-fall in this start of love

Chemistry between strangers

is hauntingly beautiful

He is giving me elevator eyes

from across the room

like I am musical tones

to soothe his nerves

surreal poetry
