Come Together

By Colt HendersonPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Mountain in my view,

ground touching the pure blue sky.

Marriage of difference.

Bridge to that blue sky,

flying in that pure blue void.

Rocks bringing me down.

Grounded to the rock,

I jump back into the air.

Floating on my dreams.

Rocks between my feet,

moss clinging to the hard rock.

Water dripping down.

Rain begins to fall,

turning the dirt into mud,

cooling down the temp.

Fire falls from the sky,

meteors light up the night,

framing the mountain.

Air meets the mountain,

fire submerged in the water.

Elements together.

with all the haiku together like this, the rhythm and cadence kind of feels like climbing a mountain, one step, steep step, two step, one step... very nice

I really liked how you turned this into a whole story, while maintaining the proper haiku format for each set of three lines! An interesting take, and very vividly written.
