Electric

I Zinged!

By Latoya M.Delbridge Published 4 years ago 1 min read

Poseidon would be jealous of a man with such a gaze,

electrifying blue that left me in a haze,

you pinned me with your gaze mercilessly and bold,

I have never seen such blue eyes with secrets left untold.

And like a fool yes was I, in denial of how I felt,

I should of kissed you right then and there and redeemed the way I felt

But how dare you walk into my life and melt the ice barricading my heart,

I should of walked away with my dignity from the very start,

but instead I let you ensnare me like a whirlpool inside a wave

and you just stood there with that handsome grin etched upon your face

because you knew, as well as I, the power you held in this phase

and how I would forever get lost inside that electric blue gaze
