Electric Eden

Some lights guide us home. Others are the last we see

I see you in the distance, like the sun in my eyes

So beautiful and bright, enough to light the skies

I cannot help but stare, my thoughts all off track

mesmerised by you, as the rest fades to black

I am drawn in to you, how can one resist

So now I come flying, as my whole being insists

I have one thing on my mind, Your beautiful light

So I fly harder and faster, while you grow larger in sight

I draw closer and warmer, lantern light coming to reach

Then goes a zap and a snap, followed by a screech

I jump to my senses, and what do I see

My angel, my lantern… you zapped me
