Should I say the words even
if I know you won't hear them?
Lost my belief in love because all you could do was hate
Everything you've done is buried in my lungs
None of this damage is visible to you, how
can you not see the way you erode me?
Eggshells are always cracking around my tiptoeing feet

'can you not see the way you erode me?' - WOW! That is poetry right there!
“Eggshells are always cracking around my tiptoeing feet” reminds me of “clipped wings” from your last acrostic- such a strong visual for the reader, and that closing line says so much.
I can relate to this kind of silence, Poppy! Well captured!! "can you not see the way you erode me?" is going to stick with me for a while!
This was so poignantly beautiful! Loved your Acrostic!
Totally enamored with the last line!! Excellent acrostic, Poppy!
Yes, annoying little sounds that prey on a wished for silence. Lovely
Another excellent entry. Really liked “ Eggshells are always cracking around my tiptoeing feet”💖.
Ohh. If someone asked me to summarise my life in one sentence.. I would now use the last line of your poem! It’s perfect 👌 ❤️ I love how you worded this.
Heartwrentching!!!💕❤️❤️
