Edge Of The Pedestal

A Woman's Suitability

By Leona ValentinePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

She is very tired,

But she is holding on.

Did not reach her goals.

Her faith is almost gone.

Always full of dreams

As her spirit feels worst.

Keeping it kind.

Putting others first.

The sense of manipulation.

The inkling of neglect.

The pain of abandonment.

Not receiving love and respect.

Her wholeness is weary.

More drained than his member.

She discounts her reflection.

Not becoming any better.

Erroneous to do the chase

With a heart of a Queen.

Sees the prize in the mirror

As her godly ways become keen.

Being devalued by him.

The use is like an attack.

She slowly knows her worth,

But her current state pulls her back.

Pushing to alter her form.

Striving to defend.

Preserving her energy.

Her wit constantly bends.

Climbing to the top.

Her own heart can only win.

Her love is a boomerang

When the change is within.

Letting go of the past.

Persistence becomes forever.

Diversity of faces look up

As the pedestal belongs to her.
