Echoes of Time

A poem about love

Standing there in awe

Waiting for the words to come back to life

Looking up at you without a flaw

Knowing soon you’ll be my wife

Looking back at that moment in time

Knowing it would be imprinted on my mind

Wondering how this wouldn’t be a crime

Being stuck in this moment in time

The photos are a time machine

The memories flooding to the forefront

Nothing left for us to do but reflect the moment

And now I look at you, a parent
