Easy Way Out

My mother was putting fourth the effort

I seem to have vague memories

But shortly after about 7 years

She gave up on her family

She should of used protection

Maybe even had them tied

After boring her 5th son

We were just more then She could mind

My mother abandoned her kids

Then rekindled a drug habit

Unemployed and on the streets with drugs

How else do you think it happened

Meanwhile my family's being dispersed

Separated amongst relatives

If it wasn't for my mother's family

We'd have all been foster kids

My brothers missed out on a family

Too young to know that it wasn't our fault

I believed she could of done it

She just found the easy way out

I was shot in the face at point blank range with a double barrel 12 gage during an strong arm robbery that quickly turned into an Attempted Murder. Although I'm missing my right eye and a bullet in my brain. I AM STILL ME & I AM STILL HERE
