Ease in the Darkness

A Poem for Winter Solstice

By Nessa LeePublished 4 years ago 1 min read
Yule Log burning and a Winter Solstice Wreath of Eucalyptus, Rosemary, Yarrow & Thyme

May you find peace in the promise

Of this Winter Solstice night,

That each day forward

Shall be blessed with more light.

The Oak and Holly kings will battle, as they do

And the Sun will return, burning brightly

As our fires, ever true.

The cycles of Nature turn onward, unfailing

The warmth of our hearths,

The love of our families,

The harvest of our labors,

Renews our souls and heals our ailings.

Ease in the darkness,

In the silence of earth's slumber

May you find rest,

And all the days that follow will be

Abundantly blessed.
