dyeing my hair

i dye my hair - way too much

whenever i feel sad

the color brings me joy

and the process makes me laugh

now it's black

with rainbow below

a secret way

to show my pride

purple for the start of covid

who knows for the end

blue on my way to the hospital

and pink when i get out

an attempt was made for red

but it wasn't a success

next i'm thinking orange

or maybe back to blue

but for now it remains black

too damaged from the bleach

tonight i’ll stay up late

maybe just to cut it all off
