Dumbfounded, standing in a daze,

World tilted sideways, a mind in a maze.

News unforeseen, a truth hard to face,

The ground beneath me, a shifting space.

Words hang unspoken, a tangled refrain,

Meaning dissolves in a downpour of rain.

Thoughts turn to dust, logic left astray,

Dumbfounded I stand, at the close of the day.

Was it a whisper, a vision so bright?

Or a cruel deception, swallowed by night?

The fabric of certainty starts to unwind,

Leaving me stranded, adrift on the mind.

Is this acceptance, or simply despair?

A numb resignation, a weight hard to bear.

The future, a canvas, once painted so bold,

Now spattered with doubt, a story untold.

But wait, in the silence, a flicker ignites,

A spark of defiance, a fire that bites.

Dumbfounded no longer, a choice I can make,

To rise from the ashes, a new course to take.

Let confusion linger, a question to mend,

But fear shall not conquer, this journey won't end.

With a breath I gather, and slowly I see,

The world rearranged, a new possibility.

So let doubt be a teacher, a path to explore,

For even when lost, there's wisdom in store.

Dumbfounded no longer, I stand tall and strong,

To face the unknown, with a brand new song.
